Leigh Anne Lauderdale

Leigh Anne Lauderdale is an Account Manager for Delisi Communications, a full-service public relations, government, and political consulting firm. She brings eight years of experience in political affairs and public policy, a thorough understanding of the legislative process, and well-established working relationships with key policymakers and their staffs. Her primary focus is on policy research and development and legislative and regulatory strategy. She specializes in transportation, utility, and water infrastructure policy.

This year, Capitol Inside, a Texas political publication, recognized Leigh Anne as a “Rising Star” in its annual Texas Lobby Power Rankings.

Prior to joining the firm, Leigh Anne served as Committee Director for the House Committee on Transportation and the House Committee on Defense and Veterans Affairs. In this position, she was instrumental in the passage of several key pieces of legislation, such as the creation of the DMV, the TxDOT Sunset Bill and the MOVE Act.

On both of these Committees she worked closely with countless members of the Texas House shepherding legislation through the committee process and negotiating committee substitutes amenable to a majority of committee members. She is highly respected among House members for her ability to bring together members of both parties as well as rural and urban members to find common ground on legislation essential to the State of Texas.

After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), she began her career in politics in her hometown of Fort Worth. Since then, she has worked on several high-profile campaigns in Texas, including a race for Attorney General and two state senate races.

When Leigh Anne is not working, she enjoys spending time on Lake Austin, and running the Lady Bird Lake Hike and Bike Trail with her golden retriever, Sammy. She is also an active member of the Junior League of Austin, and is currently volunteering as an art inspector for the City of Austin Cultural Arts Division.
